As we began in a previous blog post, redesigning your website is a huge task and you want to do it for the right reasons. Below is the second of seven steps to ensure success during this process.
A website is more than a digitized warehouse of copy and images. Your website is (or should be) rich in content that is of interest to your customers and helps create preference for your brand. Keyword-rich content that provides value and useful links, downloads, tools and images are all assets you need to protect and guard during the redesign process. Why? SEO, baby.
All of these assets help customers find you. And once they find you, these assets help you retain them and convert them.
What you need to know:
- Website assets such as content, inbound links, keyword rankings, and conversion tools are critical to a strong web presence.
- To preserve your web presence, you must keep track these assets to insure that they are all transferred in the redesign process.
