As we began in a previous blog post, redesigning your website is a huge task and you want to do it for the right reasons. Below is the final of seven steps to ensure success during this process.
Metrics are the closer. Measure and monitor the results. A variety of tools are available to provide user stats and they very in cost and effectiveness. But something, even the most basic analytics tool is better than nothing at all. The key is to measure and monitor traffic, particularly on the landing pages with your offers. Do users make it that far? Do they bounce before that point? Once on the landing page, do they engage the offer? Then measure and adjust. Maybe it’s a bad offer. Maybe it’s a bad tout for the offer. Try different strategies and tactics month to month and measure the effectiveness. Once you find something that works, leave it alone. Then if it starts to trail off, rinse and repeat.
